This week I have completed my first draft of my contents page, double page spread and front cover. I am happy with the turn out of all my drafts but I do think they can be improved. I will find out on wednesday what needs to be improved.

This week I have taken my photos for my magazine experimenting with different angles and the lighting. I have also used my research for example on Q magazine they have used a medium close up for there front cover which I intend to do.

For the past two weeks I have been doing some audience research into magazines and what the demographic prefer. I created a questionnaire so that it was easy for the public to fill in and it was a quick way of finding some research. Also I have videoed an interview with a student who is in the age range of my target group and asked her some questions about her favourite magazine. The research has been very useful and I intend to use it for my own magazine.

What would you like to see featured in a magazine? .. This question is very specific so it helped me to gain what the demographic are really interested in so I can incude it in my own magazine so that they will purchase my magazine and it will be more popular.

By asking this question how often do you buy a magazine? It allows me to think of how often I should produce a magazine and my results show that monthly is the most popular. Therefore I will produce a music magazine monthly.

I targeted teenagers and young adults because this is what my magazine target group are. Also my information is now more efficient and useful as it is the demographic I am targeting and it will help me to create a magazine specialised for there age group.

I have carried out a questionnaire to find out what people preffer in terms of how they like a magazine layout and what they ike to see featured etc. I think doing a questionnaire is a great way of finding out information quickly and effciently, also it allows me to make my magazine more suited to the public so that more of the demographic will buy it.
